Welcome to the Maryland Center for Computing Education's resources for school media specialists! The lessons linked on this website were all created by media specialists throughout the state of Maryland to promote the integration of computational thinking, computer science and robotics within the media curriculum. After peer review, the lessons are curated and added to this website. You can use the buttons below to search the lessons by grade level, computer science standard or curricular connections. Or, for a more detailed view of lessons, you can use the embedded spreadsheet below to see additional content, such as social emotional learning connections, additional book suggestions for lessons and more.
A note about accessibility of resources: We are committed to using resources that all students can access. Many of these lessons use resources that are currently inaccessible, particularly to students with visual and mobility impairments. The developers are aware of our concerns and are working to solve the accessibility issues.
Hint: To open the spreadsheet in a new window, hover over the upper righthand corner to access the arrow button for pop out.
Are you a media specialist with a great lesson that you would like to add to the database? Share it here for peer review and curation.
