WebGrants for Students (use IE or Mozilla Firefox)
Students will need to create an account with WebGrants to accept their Cal Grant (or place on hold). Instruct students to confirm school of attendance once school of choice has been determined. Awards will be placed on hold until school of attendance and graduation confirmation is completed. Graduation confirmations can be completed starting the month in which the student graduates (i.e. June 1).
Cal grants cover the majority of tuition costs at UCs and CSUs. Note that undocumented students qualify for Cal grants. For community college bound students, Cal grants can be placed on hold for up to two years. A quick reference is listed below, but for more information refer to the Eligibility Requirements:
Federal Pell Grant
Amounts can change yearly. The maximum Federal Pell Grant award is $6,095 for the 2018–19 award year (July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019). The amount you get will depend on:
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
You can receive between $100 and $4,000 a year, depending on your financial need, when you apply, the amount of other aid you get, and the availability of funds at your school.
