Program Description
An orientation-training program is designed for orientees to introduce them to the PGH vision, mission, values, goals, and organizational structure. This 65-day program is specially created to provide consistent information regarding basic unit policies, procedures, standards, and documentation to support nursing practice.
Objectives
At the end of the program, the participants will be able to:
Familiarize the unit set up and policies of PGH TCVS-PACU;
Recognize the significant role of the nurses in caring post-operative patients at PACU 6th floor;
Utilize the online RADISH nursing documentation;
Apply all HICU protocols on infection control measures; and
Perform bedside procedures, mechanical ventilator set up, and troubleshooting of machines.
