TCVS OR Complex Orientation Program
PHASES OF PERIOPERATIVE NURSING:
Preoperative phase- begins when the decision to have surgery is made and ends when the client is transferred to the OR table.
Intraoperative phase- begins when the client is transferred to the OR table and ends when the client is admitted to the PACU.
Postoperative phase- begins with the admission of the client to the PACU and ends when the healing is complete.

Caters elective/ emergency cases (Thoracic, Cardiac, Vascular surgery and Organ Transplantation)
Monday- Friday (excluding Saturday and Sunday and holidays)
two shifts (6:00am-2:30pm/ 2:00-10:30pm)
PACU
with 4 bed capacity including isolation area
caters patient from the Operating Room and Cath lab.
Monday to Sunday
24 hours duty
TELEMETRY
4 bed capacity
caters patient from PACU and Cath Lab
Monday to Sunday
24 hours duty

Bundy Card- submission on the 1st day of the month
Absenteeism/ tardiness/ notification
Leave filing: 5 working days before/ right after EL
Vacation leave - 15 days (EL, Mandatory Leave-5days)
Special Leave Privilege- (6 days)
