The University of Rennes 1 comprises 17 Faculties, Schools and Institutes, gathered on three distinct campus sites: Medicine, Law-Economics-Management and Social Sciences, Science and Technology. The ISTIC is the IT and Electronic College of University of Rennes 1, which has double objectives of Research and Training. The strength of the organization is the partnership, not only with Research with the private sector. ISTIC is also linked to several public research organizations since its teachers are also researchers for almost all of them. ISTIC is linked to three major laboratories: IRISA, IETR and LTSI.

Within the project the University of Rennes 1 has bilateral agreements with:

- TU Eindhoven (the Netherlands)
