Interdisciplinary activities

The project's strong stepping stone is the societal challenges orientation, transforming these from threats into opportunities. In this sense, the main opportunity is to create “interdisciplinary” mobility, that is mobility across scientific disciplines (eg from ICT to energy). Students keep their main disciplinary focus, but add in core principles from a secondary discipline, referred in the C-Extended as “off-discipline”. Such a trend is well known in the development of science, whereby interdisciplinarity was pointed as one of the key moments in which the scientific endeavours generates opportunities for radical innovation and paradigmatic shifts
