Guided by the University’s leadership role in education, The College of Education offers undergraduate programs that produce teachers that aren’t only proactive and conscientious but also responsive to the changing needs of the local education sector.

BACHELOR DEGREE COURSES

With one of the most renowned faculties in Bicol, our College of Education has two key four-year bachelor’s degrees:

Bachelor of Elementary Education

The BEEd is an undergraduate teacher education degree program of the University of Nueva Caceres designed to prepare individuals intending to teach in elementary level. It is a program which aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in elementary education. It draws from various allied disciplines like social sciences, science, math, technology, languages and humanities to ensure that the graduate have multi-disciplinary preparation in content and pedagogy and to achieve the necessary level of competency-based on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST).

Bachelor of Secondary Education

The BSEd is an undergraduate teacher education program of the University of Nueva Caceres designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach in their major field of specialization in the secondary level. It is a program which aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in secondary education. It draws from various allied disciplines like social sciences, science, math,

technology, languages, and humanities to ensure that the graduate have multi-disciplinary preparation in content and pedagogy and to achieve the necessary level of competency-based on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST).

Bachelor of Physical Education

The Bachelor of Physical Education includes courses that explore exercise and physical activities as instruments to teach children the value of health and wellness. This program may also cover classes in kinesiology, exercise psychology, nutrition, and motor skills development.

Bachelor of Special Needs and Inclusive Education with Specialization in:

This program helps students develop skills needed to work with children and/or young people with special education needs or disabilities. It also includes coursework that explores aspects of communication and interaction, cognitive development, physical impairments, and social and emotional behaviors associated with children with disabilities.

In addition, students of the Bachelor of Inclusive and Special Needs Education have the option of specializing either in teaching young students with visual impairment or in teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing students. We are, by the way, one of the few universities that offer these college courses in Bicol.
