Elementary & Pre-School
"Have Fun While Learning."
At the University of Nueva Caceres, we provide quality elementary education to the Bicolano youth. We foster a holistic, conducive learning environment to boost both the academic and personal development of our pupils, helping them become responsible, empowered young individuals.
At the University of Nueva Caceres Elementary Department, we commit ourselves to:
Providing rich, varied, and practical experiences that will hasten the development of the students’ communication and thinking skills;
Equipping pupils with the skills needed to make sound decisions and to become responsible for preserving and protecting Mother Earth; and
Promoting love for work and productivity
Every day, we strive to fulfill our goals for our students through a well-balanced academic program. Following the K-12 program, our grade school curricula enable students to develop mastery of concepts and skills and prepare themselves for secondary education.
Seamless Learning
There’s no better way to ensure the development of our students’ communication, social, and cognitive skills than by giving them a seamless learning experience. Our department teaches subjects in spiral progression — from the simplest ideas to the more complicated concepts – as students move through the grade levels. As early as elementary, they gain fundamental knowledge in areas such as Earth Science, Biology, and Geometry. Therefore, when they progress to Junior and Senior High School, they find it easy to digest and learn more complex topics in these areas of study.
With the supervision of highly qualified elementary teachers, our students from Grades 1 to 10 go through a context-based, spiral progression learning in the following subjects:
Mother Tongue
English
Filipino
Science
Mathematics
Music
Arts
Health
Physical Education
Araling Panlipunan
Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao
Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan (Grade 4 to 6)
Technology and Livelihood Education (Grade 4 to 6)
Holistic Development
As mentioned, it is our task to ensure not only the academic progress but also the personal development of our students. At UNC’s Elementary Department, we promote the holistic development of our pupils through sports, arts, music, and other extracurricular programs and activities.
We encourage students to join school clubs, such as the Creative Science Club, and the Drum, Xylophone, and Majorette Corps. Through these groups, our students improve their knowledge and talent, as well as their interpersonal skills.
Our department also holds intramurals, science camps, clean-up drives, and other regular activities to cultivate learning outside the classroom. The activities foster teamwork, leadership, and a healthy spirit of competition while enhancing social interaction. The experiential learning from these activities is, in fact, in line with our school motto, “Non-Scholae Sed Vitae” (not for school but for life, we learn).
Enroll your children at UNC Elementary Department, and give them the quality education they deserve.
Pre-school and Elementary Department enrollment for School Year 2018-2019 is scheduled on April 16 to June 13, 2018, from 8 AM to 5 PM. There will also be a one-stop-shop enrollment at the UNC Sports Palace from May 21 to June 2, 2018.
