The College of Criminology shall be Bicol’s leading educational institution in producing criminologist who possesses the competencies necessary to effectively address problems of criminality in the country and to ably meet the challenges of globalization in the field of criminology.
It shall produce morally upright and professionally competent graduates who are adequately prepared for careers in crime prevention, crime detection and investigation, law enforcement and correctional administration.

The UNC School of Criminology has proven to be the dark horse among other institutions that offer law enforcement in Bicolandia. The College of Criminal Justice Education only started in 2012 but has already ranked 1st in Naga City and ranked 4th in Bicol with board examination passing rates that exceed the national passing percentage. Criminal Justice Education program fosters a unique interdisciplinary perspective that is of value in a range of employment opportunities for its graduates. Due to the demand in the employment market for graduates with a well-rounded education with professional experiences.
The college ensures that the students are well equipped with the knowledge and skills needed in the field through its effective simulation job application and selection conducted by the recruitment officers of law enforcement agencies in the region.
The college has always exceeded the national passing percentage in the board performance since the pioneer batch took its board examination in 2016. The zenith priority of the college is to ensure that graduates are eligible in any government and private employment opportunities through passing the licensure examination. Career opportunities are also strengthened
through established linkages with various law enforcement agencies that support the OJT and internship programs.
Through consultations and various initiatives, the department is closely and strictly monitoring the academic performance of each student and their attitudinal perspectives to meet the required skills to become champions of the law.
