Welcome to the Academic Office Building

Building Overview

Opened in the summer of 2021, the Academic Office Building supports the pediatric faculty, staff, and learners of the M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital including the University of Minnesota Department of Pediatrics and University of Minnesota pediatric subspecialties in Cardiovascular Surgery and Surgery, Neurosurgery, Radiology, and Urology. Formerly the Corporate Office Building, the Academic Office Building has been reimagined to incorporate collaborative and telehealth spaces, improve lighting and aethestics, and integrate customer service into its core functions.

The first floor of the Pediatric Academic Office is open to the public during weekday business hours. There are two public entrances: the garden level tunnel (between the East Building and West Building) and first floor lobby (through the West Building courtyard). 

All other floors in the building are secured and require a Fairview badge to access. Visitors to a secured floor should be met at the first floor lobby. The Academic Office Building Concierge Services can assist in greeting guests and notifying occupants of guest arrival during staffed hours with notice given.
