Search for the employer by their email address and check their company status. If company status is No Request Exists or Pending:
If you know they are legitimate: You can add them manually by going to the oragnization's profile, selecing edit, staff management, and add user.
If you do not know the employer or their email domain is different from the company they are joining: Point them to Owner or Points of Contact at their organization. Find who the Owners and Points of Contact are at an org by going to the Staff Management section of the company profile.
If you cannot find the employer, their company profile is likely still pending with Handshake. If you are willing to vouch for them, Handshake will expedite their approval. Put in a ticket for the help center that includes the company name that's on the pending profile along with the name and email address of your employer contact. If you are not familiar with the company, instruct them to reach out to Handshake directly (you can also submit a ticket on their behalf).
Search for the employer by their email address and look at their email status. If email status is Not Confirmed - resend confirmation email (suggest they check spam and add Handshake as a contact).
