Council of Graduate Students (COGS)

The Council of Graduate Students (COGS) is the Recognized Student Governance Association (RSGA) at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus that represents, advocates for, informs, facilitates communications among, and supports Twin Cities graduate students (students who are seeking a research degree: a Ph.D. or a Master's that is associated with a Ph.D. program).

All COGS-fee paying graduate students are members of the COGS General Assembly.

Visit the COGS website for additional resources for graduate students, including advocacy information, social educational events, grants and funding, and other student-oriented resources: https://www.cogsmn.org/

COGS Graduate Student Resource Guide  - This document was developed by the Council of Graduate Students (COGS) in collaboration with the Graduate School and Office of Student Affairs.  It was made aware that there was a disconnect between available resources and graduate student knowledge.  As such, the purpose of this document is to provide graduate students with a regularly updated list of resources at the University of Minnesota to foster student success in academic, professional, and personal areas.
