The Degree Plan identifies the courses that you will complete to fulfill the requirements for your degree. The Graduate Planning & Audit System is used to track the requirements and policies that a student must satisfy in order to graduate. GPAS consists of two parts that work together – the interactive planner and audit or advisement report. The planner allows a student to map out the coursework they plan to complete while finishing their degree(s). The audit will show which courses, in real-time, have been completed, what a student is planning on taking, and what gaps are left to complete a degree. You only need to add coursework to the planner that you plan on taking in the future – the audit will track already completed coursework and requirements.
You can begin using the planner your first semester in the program to plan your courses. See handbook for further information and timeline for submitting the degree plan in GPAS. Step-by-step instructions are available to complete and submit the GPAS.
Contact the GPC, Lori Boucher, if you would like to meet to review your GPAS.

The Department considers advisor changes to be a customary practice in higher education. As such, graduate students may change their advisor(s) at any time. To do so, students should identify and obtain permission from a new advisor who has capacity to take them on as a student. Students should notify their current advisor of the change.
To record the change with their program and the Graduate School, students should email the Graduate Program Coordinator (Lori Boucher) and their program assistant detailing the advisor change. The new and former advisor(s) should be cc’d on the email for notification of the change.
Program tracks may have an examination committee for written comprehensive examinations. Contact your advisor for further information.
