Poster Printing

The Department of Educational Psychology does not reimburse for poster printing. However, the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) Dean’s Office in Burton Hall can print wide format posters. This is a free service if the poster is related to the college (examples: conferences, displays, research).

Poster printing is available to faculty, staff and students of the college and must be work related. Printing will be completed Monday through Friday dependent on dean’s office staffing. Please email the CEHD Dean’s office staff at cehd104@umn.edu using the subject line: Poster printing request.

In your poster printing request, please include a PDF and PowerPoint version of your poster, as well as the given dimensions that the poster needs to be printed. Indicate when you hope to have your poster printing completed by including a preferred completion date and time. We will try to honor your requested completion time. Create your poster in PowerPoint. Be sure to enter the dimensions of your poster in the Design>>Page Setup.

We print on a 42″ paper roll. The largest dimensions that can be printed are 42×60″. Smaller posters with a width of 42” or less are preferred. It is important to indicate if you want the longest edge printed on the top of your poster (Landscape printing) or if you want the longest edge printed on the side of your poster (Portrait printing).

Use high resolution photos and graphics that are 300 dpi at the size you will use them in your finished poster to prevent pixelation. PowerPoint also has good graph and chart making tools that will create sharp graphics that can be edited and scaled without losing quality.

Once your poster has been successfully printed, you will receive an email notifying you that the poster is complete and ready to be picked up in 104 Burton Hall.
