For first line facilities management requests during normal CEMS business hours and telephone requests (issues with an office or lab phone), please contact cemsoffice@umn.edu or 612-625-1313.
If you need to contact Facilities Management outside of CEMS business hours or have an urgent/emergency need, you can contact Facilities Management directly at 612-624-2900. In case of emergency, always call 911.
For Key Requests, use the Access Request Form on the CEMS intranet. For questions about access, contact Sarah Holewa at sholewa@umn.edu.

Building Hours
Effective March 14, 2022 Amundson Hall building hours are as follows:
Restricted Hours: 10pm-6am Monday-Friday and Weekends and University Holidays. Restricted access requires special UCard access that can be requested through the Access Request Form linked above.
University Hours: 6am-10pm Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm Saturday, 10am-8pm Sunday. Active University of Minnesota employees and students will have access during this period.
Public Hours: The east (Union Street), west (Church Street) and North (Piercy Wing) entrance will have public hours 7:45am-4:30pm Monday-Friday with the exception of University holidays.
Conference Room Scheduling in Amundson Hall
CEMS faculty, staff, graduate students and post-docs have the ability to schedule conference rooms in Amundson Hall through Google Calendar. The following requirements pertain to all room reservations (below). The person making the reservation is responsible for cleaning all tables with Clorox wipes (provided) and resetting the room in a standard format after each use.
Room 126, Room 129: open for any purpose/anyone can schedule
Room 151D: CEMS Administration has priority in this room. CEMS staff may displace your meeting if a department need arises. This room should only be scheduled from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, for department matters or PhD defenses. Graduate student group meetings should not be scheduled in this room.
Room 287: CEMS Administration has priority in this room. This room can be scheduled from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and group meetings can occur in this room. It will be locked outside of business hours and/or when not in use.
Room 337: MRSEC has priority in this room. MRSEC staff may displace your meeting for their purposes.
To reserve a room, simply add it to your meeting in Google Calendar. If you start typing AmundH under "Guests" to invite, the rooms will appear. In addition if you click on the "Rooms" tab, those rooms should appear if available.

Policies
All CEMS stakeholders issued building access or keys are required to complete safety training prior to issuance of keys or 24/7 building access. This applies to faculty, staff, postdocs, grad students, undergraduate employees, temporary employees, volunteers and visitors to the department.
