The major design gap found through the market study is that while products may provide either effective dispersion of the product or are not messy, they fail to meet both design standards of high effectiveness and low messiness. Our team’s product is going to be designed with the goal of reducing messiness and attaining proper dispersion of the hair product inserted into the device. We will also prioritize that our device can be used with a variety of hair products as most of the devices on the market that fail effective dispersion do so because the variety in the viscosity of varying hair products can be difficult to be applied with the same device. Our design fills the gap in the market that uniquely creates both a less messy and effective experience for our users while allowing them to use any hair product of their choice with it and being comfortable on the scalp.
The most common tool for hair products application is people’s hands. Other products in the market occupy comparatively small shares in the hair application methods and tools.
Ours is a direct-to-consumer device. A large number of customers are individual users. A smaller fraction of the customers are hair professionals and salon owners. There are also Hair care product sellers such as companies that sell hair oil and conditioners. A tiny fraction is pet parents who might want to try our device on their furry friends.
