The example shown here explores the underwriting for converting an abandoned mall into a coliving. The advantage in converting malls into coliving units is that the complete building infrastructure already exists. Individual shops could be effortlessly converted into rooms,food courts can be converted into communal kitchens and existing common spaces both indoor and outdoor exist could be revamped. In addition existing services such as plumbing, HVAC, parking can be reused.
