The Montgomery County Master Gardeners collect voluntary dues from their membership as a sign of their commitment. For the most part, our dues are intended to cover costs for the monthly speakers, MCMG general events, and social events. MCMGers may pay their voluntary annual dues via credit card on the Eventbrite website. The cost is $28.52 ($25 dues + $3.52 processing fee) during the annual membership dues campaign (February 1 through March 31).
1. Click on Eventbrite link - IF you don’t have an account, you may be asked to create one at this point.
2. Note dues of $25 includes eventbrite processing fee so total price is $28.52.
3. Click on the "Check Availability" button:
4. You’ll see a calendar and “Choose options” at the top. Simply choose today’s date and then (when the time button opens automatically) choose the time presented (3-3:30 or similar)(you’ll have to click on the time).
5. The “Tickets” choice will automatically open and you’ll see:
6. If there are two MGs in your household change “1” to “2.” You’ll see the final price on the right (most will be one as you see below):
7. Click on the “Check Out” button.
8. The program will think for a bit and then the billing information page will appear. IF you’re logged in, your payment info should automatically appear. Otherwise, you’ll have to fill out the information (name/email).
9. Be sure to uncheck the checkmarks just below the billing info if you don’t want eventbrite to send you endless emails.
10. IF you don’t have an account you will be asked to fill out the form with your name and email address again. OR just check the box that says “Same as billing information.”
11. Now is the time to pay, so check either credit or PayPal (if you have an account). (If you’re logged in and have a credit card on file, it should choose that card.)
There Is also a box that describes how to pay by check. If you highlight “Pay by Check" and click “Place Order” eventbrite will still process the order but you will have to send in your check at that point.

Donations to MCMG should follow the established protocol for making monetary donations to the University of Maryland College Park Foundation and having the funds allocated to the Montgomery County Master Gardener program:
1. Donors must make checks payable to: University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc.
2. Donors must include this Foundation account number in the check's memo section: UME-MG 21-23488
3. Donors can send the Foundation donation check to: University of Maryland Extension - Montgomery County, 18410 Muncaster Rd, Derwood MD 20855
4. UME MoCo Office admin staff will then mail the Foundation donation check to the University of Maryland, Gift Acceptance Group
5. The Foundation will send donors a thank you letter with a tax receipt once the donation is received and processed. The receipt will let donors know that their contribution is tax deductible.
