for Finance Board Representative

What relevant experience would you bring to the position you are seeking?

The relevant experience I have for this position it that I’ve been in SGA since High School. I was the first student liaison for my school so I was the voice for the student body. I was able to communicate and talk to people about their wants and needs for the school. I really enjoy talking to people and getting their needs met when able to. At my previous University I was apart of the diversity and inclusion so that allowed me to talk to different people of different backgrounds and help their voice be heard as well.

How do you intend on fulfilling your role while working alongside other members of SGA? What strategies do you use to address conflict?

I plan to fulfill my position to my fullest capacity, going above and beyond so we can get thing quickly and efficient as possible. I plan on having an open communication while working along side of other SGA members. If there is any conflict to be address I’ll make sure to address it head on, remain professional and get to the solution as quickly as possible.

What is your vision for the funds that SGA has available to allocate to student organizations?

My vision for the funds for student organizations is to help current students and future students feel back to normal when we’re allowed to have on campus activities again. Getting back into interactive activities will allow everyone to reconnect with each as well as the campus to see what we have to offer.

What do you think the Finance Board has done well? What do you think the Finance Board needs to improve?

I think Finance Board has done well adjusting to the new way things have to been because of Covid and continuing to do their job well. I really the Finance listening more to the student about other activities they will like to see whether it’s online or in person for students activities.
