Homework Tips

1. Find a quiet place so you can concentrate.

2. Use Vis-à-vis as resources to help you complete all homework for this class.

3. Before starting each activity, read the instructions and the examples and be sure you understand what you will be doing (reading, listening, pronouncing, answering questions, etc). If you do not understand the instructions, please contact your instructor.

4. Listening and video activities: Do not try to understand every word. Read the questions first and focus on understanding enough to be able to answer the questions.

Why is online homework due at 9 am?

You can do the homework anytime you'd like. You don't have to wait until the morning it is due. For example, if something is due at 9 am on Wednesday, you can do it at 10 am on Tuesday or at 11 pm on Tuesday (or anytime before 9 am on Wednesday).

Homework is due before class because during class we build on what you learned by reading the book and doing the homework.

If you are not able to complete the activity after listening/watching only once, listen or watch again. It is normal to listen/watch 2-3 times for each audio or video activity.
