And with that the program deadline is inching closer as well. So, now is the time to tighten your seat belts and accelerate!

We are so glad to see many of you getting back to Classroom and catching up on your lost progress. The finish line might appear distant at this time but as you keep pushing, soon it will be a near sight! Therefore now that you have started, DO NOT STOP!

For those of you who are yet to get back to the Classroom, THIS IS THE TIME. Head straight to the Classroom and start working on your Nanodegree again as you cannot lose out on time anymore!

The Shell Team is keenly looking at each of your progress in the program and they are really really excited to get to interview you all. I remember when asked about how many positions the Shell team envisions to fill in their team from this scholarship cohort and they mentioned (this is not verbatim) that there is no limitation and they are looking forward to have as many Graduate scholars from this cohort join them as possible!

So even if you had taken a pause in your learning or if you have fallen behind, this is no reason for you to not resume your progress again! GET GOING AGAIN.

Time For a Sprint!

We are entering into Week 13 of our journey today which means we are nearing the last quarter of this ride. The will and zeal with which you all have put into this journey is nothing but amazing! But it has been a long ride until here and some of you lost the pace a bit. No worries though, because we know that you will pick it up again now.

So whether you have fallen a bit behind or are right on track, it is time for a SPRINT!

What is the Daily Scrum Challenge?

Through this challenge we aim to help you plan your Nanodegree Progress in terms of short-term timeline driven goals! This window will be a 2-weeks Sprint in our case. And we are going to start with Sprint #1 TODAY!!!!

What is needed to take part in it?

All you need to do is follow these steps:

Step 1: Set a 2-Week goal for yourselves (in terms of the Nanodegree Progress) ’

Step 2: Sign up for the Sprint #1 here Commitment Form for Sprint #1. And work towards your goal everyday for 2 weeks from whenever you start the Sprint!

Step 3: Do a daily check-in of your progress in the #06_daily_scrum Channel! (the #06_daily_scrum channel is now #06_dailyscrum).

GOAL : Completing Project 3 and going through concepts of Project 4

Day 1

• What did I work on today?

• What will I work on tomorrow?

• How likely am I to achieve my Sprint Goal? (Give a number rating from 1 to 5 on how confident you are of achieving your Sprint#1 Goal)

You need not include the Goal in your daily check-ins, just include it in the Day 1 check-in!

Any twists this time?

You have 2 new fellows in this Challenge!

We know it is always easier said than done. Therefore me & @Arshi.CommunityModerator will be participating as well. Just like some of you I haven’t been able to work consistently on my Nanodegree (yes I am enrolled in the Business Analytics ND). I see this as an opportunity to get back on track!

#50ProjectsChallenge

Who is heading the #50ProjectsChallenge?

For a refresher the goal was to collectively submit & pass projects by today that is Friday, Sept 9th. You guys have until yesterday completed 43 Projects (86%) already. We will get to know the final numbers the next week so that we can take into account the projects yet to released. (keep working on your projects in the meanwhile)

Data Rockstars!

• Data Engineers you have completed 30 out of the goal of 30 Projects! Which means yes you are the COHORT CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

Software Champs!

• You are not far behind! Only that we can use a little more speed to catch up! You guys have completed 13 projects out of your target of 20. Do try to re-work and submit any of your pending projects today itself!

Vindya is an experienced resourcing professional with over 15 years of industry experience. She has been associated with Shell for more than 9 years and has been instrumental in resourcing top talent for almost all Shell businesses in India.

In her current role she is the resourcing lead for Shell Technology Centre in Bangalore, which functions as the Asia technology hub for the Shell group. She is also Shell accredited Interviewer.

Personally, she is a mother of a young seven-year-old; she spends her free time

listening to music, trying-out trending artwork with her son and exploring new cuisines & cultures.

• Minu Raj

Minu is a seasoned resourcing professional and she comes with 13 years of experience in

resourcing. She has contributed for hiring for companies like Wells Fargo, ITC Infotech, Samsung R & D prior to Shell. She is currently managing resourcing for Shell business operation IT, Bangalore.

Who is heading the #50ProjectsChallenge?

As you know we had extended the deadline for our #50ProjectsChallenge to give both our teams enough time to compete! So gear up Rockstars & Champs as you have until Friday, September 9th to complete your Challenges!

For a refresher the goal is to collectively submit & pass projects. By completing 30 Projects, we have already reached 60% of this Goal. But let’s see how the 2 teams are doing:

• Software Engineers you are not far behind but indeed giving a tough competition to Team Data as you have completed 11 out of the goal of 20 Projects. Which means just 9 more projects to add to your tally to lift that trophy of Cohort Champions!
