Happy Saturday Shell Scholars!
Hope you all are aware of the extension in the program deadline until Nov 7th. Just a note that you won’t get to see any changes in the classroom regarding the extension.
An email regarding this was also sent but seems like there has been some issue due to which many of you haven’t received this email. Please consider this announcement as the confirmation of the extension.
Also wanted to share that Shell has made changes in the hiring process and instead of waiting for the cohort to end, they have started reviewing the resumes of the Graduates & ‘Ready to Graduate’ scholars. Some of whom have also started to receive the application link from Shell!
THEREFORE……KEEP PUSHING!
Use this extension to jump back on track!
Shell is keenly looking at all of your progress as they are eagerly waiting to interview the Graduates and have them join the team. Therefore please restart your Nanodegree progress even if you have fallen behind and get going again! You were selected for this opportunity as you had the potential for it, you CANNOT let it slip!
Use the support of your peers & Session Leads to get unstuck if you are facing any issues. Your SLs @Balaji.DE.SessionLead & @Nitish.Software.SessionLead and your peers are there for you always!
Go through the recordings of additional support sessions conducted by your SLs to make progress in the projects which most of you found difficult. Once you complete these projects you will find the way ahead to be a smoother ride. (Support Sessions conducted for Project 2 & 3 of Software ND & Project 3 of Data)
of your peers have made it to the Finish Line! IF THEY CAN DO IT, YOU CAN TOO.
So go back to the CLASSROOM and start with making the schedule to complete the remaining projects by Nov 7th!

Final deadline for the Shell Train-to-hire Program is now Monday, November 7th.
You might have received or will receive an email from Udacity about this soon.
Project deadlines inside classroom as well the end-date inside your Nanodegree Program will not change but don’t worry! As mentioned you will have access to the Nanodegree until Nov 7th and you can complete all your projects by then.

Yes, if you haven’t got this news already, here’s the good news: The final deadline for the Shell Train-to-Hire Program has been extended for 2 weeks until Monday, November 7th.
Which means starting today you have 4 Weeks to complete your projects, earn your Graduation & get the opportunity to join Shell!
We are rooting for you to utilise this added time to re-start your learning journey if you had taken a pause. Or accelerate it further if you had paced down a bit.
Many of you are running 2-3 projects behind the recommended schedule as of now. Utilise this extension to cover that gap and earn your Graduation! This is YOUR CHANCE. Make it count!

Time to get started with SPRINT #2!
October has always been a month of festivities! But amidst the festivities & celebrations, we also have our program deadline coming closer this October. Which makes it even more important to get on a SPRINT!
Here’s a quick refresher on what this is all about:
What is the Daily Scrum Challenge?
Through this challenge we aim to help you plan your Nanodegree Progress in terms of short-term timeline driven goals! This window will be a 2-weeks Sprint in our case. And we are going to start with Sprint #2 TODAY!!!!

What is needed to take part in it?
All you need to do is follow these steps:
Step 1: Set a 2-Week goal for yourselves (in terms of the Nanodegree Progress)
Step 2: Sign up for the Sprint #2 here Commitment Form for Sprint #2. And work towards your goal everyday for 2 weeks from when you start the Sprint!
Step 3: Do a daily check-in of your progress in the #06_daily_scrum Channel!
GOAL : Completing Project 5 and getting ready for Project 6 submission
Day 1
What did I work on today?
What will I work on tomorrow?
How likely am I to achieve my Sprint Goal? (Give a number rating from 1 to 5 on how confident you are of achieving your Sprint#2 Goal)
You need not include the Goal in your daily check-ins, just include it in the Day 1 check-in!
Also congratulations to all the Sprinters who completed their Sprint #1 Goal! Don’t forget to boast this feat by adding (sprint1_badge) emoji badge to your Slack Status.
