Hello Shell Scholars!

Hope you all had the time to relax a bit in these last days after the program concluded! For those of you who are gearing up for your interviews with Shell we are hoping that you too had sometime to catch a breath.

First of all, you all deserve HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!! You were splendid throughout this learning journey. Major kudos to the hard-work & dedication that you invested during these 5 months. YOU DID GREAT!

With 55 of you Graduating from this program, we hit the 50% Graduation Rate milestone in this Scholarship Program!

• 39 Graduates from the Data Engineer ND! With 58% Graduation Rate, you nailed it Data Rockstars

• 16 Graduates from the Software Engineer ND! The road was tough but you guys made it to 36% Graduation Rate. Kudos on the big leap Software Champs!

You Have 2 More Days Now! Make Every Minute Count!

First of all, KUDOS to all of you as many of you made it past the Finish Line in these last some days! And special thanks to the amazing scholars in this community who have been supporting their peers in all possible ways.

For others close to the line, would just say that make use of every minute you have got (yes you have got a little more time!).

Since some of you are so close to submitting your final projects or are just waiting to receive review on your submitted projects, we will let the Classroom be open until Thursday, Nov 24th so that you can get the reviews of your project (re-submit, if the need be) & complete the Graduation Process.

However you will need to submit your resume for Shell’s hiring process today itself ! Therefore if you will need the time until Nov 24th to get to the Finish Line and you intend to participate in Shell’s hiring process, you will have to send your resume to us today (Nov 22nd) itself.

How? Drop a group DM to me & @Arshi.CommunityModerator for this and we will let you know of the process. Please remember that Shell will be considering only the Graduates of this program for hiring, therefore you will have to attain your Graduation by Nov 24th for moving ahead in the process.

52 of your peers have made it past the Finish Line! Remember, there are still a couple of days in your hands and you can still join these peers of yours past the Finish Line! So….. DO NOT STOP

Also, Some Important Reminders:

• Do not wait anymore to submit your Final Projects! Submit them ASAP.

• If you are awaiting review for your Final Project Submission, do not wait to receive any notification. Check for the review in every few hours inside your classroom itself.

• If you have received a review where you are requested to re-submit with some changes, make those changes quickly and re-submit today itself

• Once you have passed all your projects, you will receive a Graduation Prompt inside the Classroom. Initiate this Graduation Process without any delay.

• If you are the Software Engineer ND scholar and would like to Graduate after completing 5 of the 6 projects, you can drop a DM to me regarding this. We will then process your Graduation manually.

Just 6 more days to the end of this amazing journey. We have been so proud to see you all prioritising your learning and making progress day by day.

In these 6 coming days, we would urge you to keep moving ahead with the same spirits with which you had joined this adventure. Regardless of where you are in your journey right now, it is worth an effort to keep pushing until the last minute. DO NOT GIVE UP until you touch the Finish Line!

Specially as some of you are soooo close to the Finish Line, sending loads of motivation your way to keep moving forth.

Shell Hiring Process <> Key Points

• As soon as you complete all your mandatory technical projects, you are eligible to get the Shell’s hiring process initiated for you! As the next step, you will be requested to submit your resume

• Udacity then provides your resume to the Shell Team. (In case you have already submitted it in advance, it will be shared with Shell once you complete all your mandatory projects)

• After receiving resume, Shell team sends out an application link to the scholar (this is not a continuous process but rather being done in batches)

• Once you have received the application link from Shell Team, please fill it out on a timely manner. Post this Shell team will review the application and reach out to you for interview scheduling

What will the hiring process timeline look like?

Shell is conducting the hiring process in 3 batches. The third and final batch will tentatively look like this:

• BATCH 3

• Resume submitted (to Shell) between Nov 7 & program deadline of Nov 21st. Application link can be expected to be received within 1 week. Once the scholar applies, interviews to be scheduled for Dec 1st - Dec 2nd.

We are rooting for all you who are working on their Nanodegree to be part of this final batch by earning your Graduation by Nov 21st! Also join us in wishing ‘ALL THE BEST’ to your Graduate peers who are interviewing with Shell soon!

Hello Shell Scholars!

Hoping that you all are having a great week so far! We know that as we advance towards the deadline of Nov 21st, the pressure is high but so is the thrill!

And therefore we wanted to add some excitement to it as well.

You guys have come very far in this journey with your diligence & passion to learn! And now it has all come down to this FINAL STRETCH. So GIVE YOUR BEST and get across that Finish Line to join 40 of your peers who have managed to reach there already!

And to pump you up a bit more here is a little something from us!

Join the Finish Line Squad, Graduate & Get Rewarded!

• Regardless of whether you are just 1 project away from Graduation or working on your remaining 3 projects. Join the Finish Line Squad and be a consistent sprinter until you earn your Graduation. 10 Scholars (yes the numbers have been doubled!!!) from everyone who joins the challenge & Graduates will receive an $25 Amazon Gift Voucher!

Graduated already? Don’t worry we have something for you as well!

• Another 10 Scholars (randomly selected) from amongst everyone who Graduates by Nov 21st will receive a $25 Amazon Voucher as well!

The support that you provided to each-other has been the greatest strength of this community since the very beginning of this journey, in this Final Stretch we request you all to keep pushing each other forward and towards the Finish Line! TIME FOR THE FINAL SPRINT!

20 DAYS TO GO

20 DAYS???? Yes, inorder to aid you guys in reaching the Finish Line another 2 weeks (FINAL) extension has been added to the program. Which means starting today you have 20 more days to work on your remaining projects, earn your Graduation and get hold of that opportunity to interview with Shell.

Monday, Nov 21st is the extended ( & Final) Program Deadline now.

Shell & Udacity are really counting on you to make the best use of this added time and find your way to Graduation so that we can initiate your hiring process with Shell! (Shell has commenced their hiring process for your Graduate peers)

This being the last lap of this program calls for that one final sprint, ‘A Sprint to the Finish Line!’

You all have come far and that too together! Your support to each other made all the difference, so why not conclude this journey the same way.

If you are someone who aims to Graduate from this nanodegree, join your peers to become the FINISH LINE SQUAD and FINISH STRONG together!

Step 1: Set up your study schedule for these final days!

Step 2: Let us know that you are all set for this final Sprint by filling this form I am ready for the Sprint!

Step 3: Do a daily progress check-in the #06_finish_line_squad until your finish all your projects!

• How likely am I to get to my goal of Graduation? (Give a number rating from 1 to 5 on how confident you are that day of earning your Graduation by Nov 21st)

What’s in for me?

In these last some days, this Sprint will help you better manage your time & progress to get to your Graduation! So ofcourse you will get hold of your Graduation Certificate and the chance to join team Shell, but also we have a little surprise!

Out of all of you who become our Sprinters (participate in the Sprint) and earn your Graduation by Nov 21st, 5 scholars will be randomly selected to get some Amazon Gift Cards!
