The 60DaysofUdacity Challenge is ON!

Happy Thursday you all! As we embark on a learning journey the biggest challenge we all face is to remain consistent. Various factors try to break that learning streak of ours. BUT…inorder to succeed we ought to KEEP MOVING!

One way to ensure that we keep moving is by making learning a habit ----- that’s to take small steps every day in your Nanodegree! We’re excited to announce and invite you on this great endeavour through the

60 Days of Udacity Challenge.

Several of you have already begun, which is great! Today, we are officially launching the Commitment Form for this challenge! You will pledge to work in your Udacity classroom for 60 days in a row — Simply work on your Nanodegree Course for atleast 30 minutes a day for 60 days and tell us how it went each day in the #06_60daysofudacity channel! This challenge is just as much about acknowledging our own accomplishments as it is about supporting each other! Try to find two people each day and tell them what a great job they are doing!

Hello Shell Scholars!

Hope you all had the chance to drop into your Classroom and start with your Nanodegree Programs. If you haven’t already, please make sure to start your Nanodegree Program ASAP!!!

In the last few days we came across some queries and we wanted to address them one by one in detail so that you have answers to all your questions! Starting today with:

Weekly Connect Sessions & Weekly Career Coaching Sessions:

• What are they?

• Connect Sessions are technical support sessions hosted by your Session Leads whereas Career Coaching Sessions are Career Support Sessions conducted by Career Coaches.

• Frequency?

• You will have 1 Connect & 1 Career Coaching session every week.

• Starts when?

• Connect Sessions have commenced from June 24th. Depending upon the Connect Batch you are a part of, the start date might vary for you.

• Career Coaching Sessions will commence from the week of July 4th. Again depending upon your Nanodegree the slot might vary for you.

• What is the Schedule?

• There are 2 different batches for the Connect Sessions for each Nanodegree :

• Data Engineer:

• Saturdays @ 9:30-11:30 AM CEST | 1-3 PM IST

• Sundays @ 12:30-2:30 PM CEST | 4-6 PM IST

• Software Engineer:

• Wednesdays @ 4:30-6:30 PM CEST | 8-10 PM IST

• Saturdays @ 4:30-6:30 PM CEST | 8-10 PM IST

• There is one batch each for the Career Coaching Session for each Nanodegree:

• Data Engineer:

• Wednesdays @ 2:30 - 4:30 PM CEST | 6-8 PM IST

• Software Engineer:

• Tuesdays @ 4:30-6:30 PM CEST | 8-10 PM IST

• These sessions will happen at same Weekday/Time every week?

• Yes! Both of these sessions will happen recurringly at the same Weekday & Time every wee

• Where can I find the schedule & joining details for my sessions?

• Schedule & joining details of your Weekly Connect Sessions (updated for every week) are present inside your Udacity Classroom

• Schedule & joining details of your Weekly Career Coaching Session are available HERE further we will add them to the Scholarship Calendar!

And finally…….

• Can I change the schedule of my Connect Sessions/Career Coaching Sessions?

• You can switch between the 2 available slots for your Weekly Connect Sessions. Raise a request for the same using this form Connect Session Switch <> Request Form

• You cannot change schedule of your Weekly Career Coaching sessions. If you aren’t able to attend the sessions at the given weekly schedule, you can convey this to your Career Coaches during the office hours & initial Career Coaching sessions. In case it turns out that many of you are unable to attend the sessions at given schedule the Career Coaches can reconsider the session timings.
