The Shell Train to Hire Scholarship Program aims to provide 100 experienced engineers with the FREE opportunity to expand their skills in one of two Nanodegree programs: Advanced Data Engineer or Advanced Software Engineer and prepare them for a potential career at one of the world’s leading energy companies, as the Graduates will be eligible to interview for advanced roles at Shell.

This program is free of charge and available to all eligible learners who successfully pass the application on our website. The program consists of a 4-month, self-guided learning journey with the rest of the Shell Train to Hire Scholarship Program cohort.
You will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects designed by industry experts to build their portfolio of skills and learn one of four core skills sets to prepare them for a career in a job of the future. Qualified individuals will have the chance to interview with Shell for full-time positions after successfully completing the program.

All our scholarship programs run on a predetermined schedule with specific end dates. The program deadline is firm, so please aim to finish everything by October 24th, 2022.
Also, there is a revoking criteria in place through which non-starters in the program will be unenrolled from the program by July 21st. So you need to start and make progress in your Nanodegree Program before July 21st to remain in the program.
Between instructional content, quizzes, projects, and other course-related activity, we estimate that investing 10-15 hours/week of self-study (including attending weekly 1.5-2 hour virtual connect sessions) will enable you to proceed through the curriculum at a successful pace.
Also, at all times try to align your learning progress with the Weekly Schedule.
We have a dedicated Slack Student Community where you can ask questions, get answers, and find support from your peers, Community Team, Session Leads/Tutor. Specifically for technical questions regarding your Nanodegree Program:
You will have the support of Session Leads/Tutor in Slack who will be actively present in the Slack Workspace, helping you with your technical questions in Nanodegree Specific Channels as well as conducting Weekly Connect Sessions/Project Walkthrough Webinars
