In instances where units require additional assistance, the location will offer 'Point Off' shifts.
Point Off shifts are designed to:
Give the unit incentive to student employees for filling shifts with a greater need
Allow student employees the opportunity to make up points in instances in which they had to miss a shift but were unable to get it covered and/or submit a time off request
Since student employees are given the opportunity to make their own work schedule (with the exception of Catering), it is expected that they come to work at the dates/times they committed to going to work.
If a student employee is seeking to get Points Off, they will need to look on the WhenToWork tradeboard for shifts specifically marked 'Points Off' (PO) or Double Points Off (DPO).
Only shifts with that category are eligible for points off.
Please note, it is not permitted to collect points off shifts and go into the negative for later use. The lowest 'balance' that can be held is 0 points.
Point off shifts can be found using the point off category drop down in WhenToWork (shown above)
