You must notify your unit that you will be missing your shift at least 2 hours before your scheduled start time.
Even if it's less than 2 hours before your shift, notify your unit! Otherwise it will be logged as a No Call/No Show^.
^An absence will be considered a 'No Call/No Show' if an employee does not come to their shift and also does not notify the unit that they will be missing their shift within 2 hours of their start time on the day they are scheduled.
If you are out for multiple days, let your manager know each day you will be out.
If you are feeling sick the day before your shift, you can notify your unit the evening before.
All Dining & Hospitality student employees may request time off if they anticipate needing to take time off from work. Planning ahead and submitting a time off request is in the everyone's best interested (and will avoid any kind of points for missing a shift)
Time off request must be submitted in advance and approved by your unit's management team.
Do not assume you have the day off until you receive a notification from WhenToWork that your time off has been approved.
Student employees up to 4 time off requests per academic quarter
Dining Hall & Dining Admin Employees must submit their time off request at least 7 days in advance.
Hospitality & Retail Employees must submit their time off request at least 14 days in advance.

Please note that there may be 'Black Out' dates where time off requests are not accepted. Please speak with your manager directly if you need an exception.
