4-H For Good

In 4-H, youth learn about the ways they can make a difference in their community. A simple act of kindness can spark a ripple of good—and you can be the spark! See the two ways you can participate below.

4-H For Good Challenge

As an official nonprofit partner of the movie, Wicked: For Good, 4-H is shining a spotlight on young changemakers who prove that everyday acts of good can be powerful. Join the “For Good Challenge” and be part of a movement to create a kinder world in your school, workplace, or community.

Beginning on October 9 and leading up to the release of Wicked: For Good on November 21, we’re celebrating the power of young people and communities everywhere to make a difference by putting their heart and hands together to create a wave of kindness.

Just like Elphaba and Glinda in Wicked: For Good, your choices can change the world. This challenge is open to everyone—youth, families, schools, workplaces, and community groups—and it’s your chance to show how one good deed can inspire another.

How to join the #4HForGood Challenge

Do Something Good
Big or small, every act counts! Help out, give back, or simply show someone you care.
Share Your Heart Hands 🫶
Snap a pic of your heart hands and write a short post about your good deed.
Post It Online
Use the hashtag #4HForGood and tag @california4H (Facebook) and @ca4H (Instagram).
Challenge Others
Ask your friends to join the challenge to keep the good growing!

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement! Join the movement and give: your time, a donation, or the power of your voice to show support for the organizations that support your community. Help us spread the word about the great things happening in 4-H and encourage people to support 4-H with a donation. Share your story on social media about why you are in California 4-H!

Only online gifts made on Tuesday, Dec. 2, from midnight to midnight qualify towards prize challenge awards.

The California 4-H Foundation Board of Directors is awarding the following to California 4-H funds.

4-H Donor Challenge

$500 to the four 4-H funds that have the greatest number of unique donors on Giving Tuesday

4-H In-It-To-Win-It Challenge

$500 to the one 4-H fund that raises the most on Giving Tuesday
