AIIDE 2025 invites proposals for half-day, one-day, or two-day workshops. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to meet and discuss issues with a selected focus, providing an informal setting for exchanging ideas. Each workshop’s format will be determined by its organizers.
We expect to celebrate the workshops on November 10th and 11th, 2025.
All deadlines are 11:59 PM anywhere in the world (UTC-12).
Workshop Proposal Submission Deadline: May 16th, 2025
Workshop Notification Deadline: May 26th, 2025
Workshop proposals should be 1 to 3 (Letter-formatted) pages in length. Proposals should contain:
A brief description of the workshop, including goals and focus;
Whether the proposed workshop is new or a continuation of a previous series of meetings;
A preliminary description of the workshop’s format and schedule, including desired length (half day or full day);
Whether the workshop intends to have peer-reviewed papers published in the CEUR Workshop Proceedings, or some other alternative format, and
The names, affiliations, and contact information of the workshop organizing committee, specifying the primary contact.
If peer-reviewed papers are intended, proposals can optionally include a preliminary program committee and review timelines.
AIIDE publishes and archives its workshops’ proceedings on CEUR Workshop Proceedings (CEUR-WS.org). If the workshop intends to have peer-reviewed papers, workshop organizers are expected to work with their authors to ensure their camera-ready versions follow the 2025 CEUR proceedings requirements:
Use the 1-column format (2-column format is longer be accepted by CEUR; Word/Microsoft365 template is no longer accepted by CEUR). Overleaf template: https://www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/template-for-submissions-to-ceur-workshop-proceedings-ceur-ws-dot-org/hpvjjzhjxzjk
Short papers must be 5-9 pages (references and appendices included) and full papers must be 10 pages or more (references and appendices included).
All papers must have a section called "Declaration on Generative AI". See https://ceur-ws.org/GenAI/Policy.html
The AIIDE Workshop Chair will work with the workshop organizers to get the proceedings ready for publication. Two examples of prior AIIDE workshop proceedings can be found at: https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3926/ and https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3847/ . CEUR workshop proceedings are indexed by scholarly sites such as DBLP, Semantic Scholar, and Scopus.
Organizers are encouraged to propose alternative formats beyond paper/poster presentations – such as panel discussions, industry mixers, working groups, game jams, proposal jams, and AI competitions.
Workshop proposals should be submitted directly to the AIIDE Workshop Chair, Richard Zhao, via email: richard.zhao1@ucalgary.ca.
Not sure how to organize a new workshop? Let Richard know. Questions are welcome!
