Shared Google Doc Lesson Plan: Interview Question Guide:

This page contains a collaborative group activity that uses Google Docs. It allows students to work in real time together, and see each other’s contributions.

Goals:

        • Students will be able to:
        • Understand how to use Google Docs.
        • Collaborate on a document in a group setting.
        • Work in a group to create an interview question guide.
        • Give and receive feedback on how to improve question effectiveness.

How lesson will ask learners to collaborate using a shared doc:

The purpose of this assignment is to practice creating an interview question guide.

Students will be put into groups of three, and each group will be given an assigned research topic.

In their assigned area using the shared Google doc, each member of the group will contribute possible questions they may ask research participants in relation to the research topic.

Once all members have added possible questions, each member will begin to review and provide feedback to each other’s work.

The goal is to discuss what questions work, what doesn’t, and what can be altered to create an effective interview question guide for your assigned topic. Group members will work together to create a final question list of at least 10 questions in the assigned area of the Google Doc.
