Introduction: UX mapping methods help to put research data into a different perspective that essentially tells a story. Some of these methods involves combining with others to help explain a pathway of your target user. As UX researchers, it is important to understand these different UX mapping methods because not only do they help you to explain your data, but they also assist in presenting your final results to your stakeholders. In this learning activity, students will create a eBook using the Book Creator application and be required to share their UX maps they have created for your their final research topic. They will also be required to explain each method they used, and how it applies to their research. Students have a lot of creative control in this activity. The following instructions will explain the requirements.
Instructions:
1. Students will review the instructor example at the top of this page. For this assignment students have creative control and do not have to design their eBooks the same way, this is just an example for students to review.
2. Students will go to Book Creator and create an account using their student Gmail account.
3. Before students begin, they should review the Book Creator tutorials listed in the resources.
4. Students will now create a new book. For book type, do not select any "comic" style layout for this assignment.
5. Students are now on their own to free design their eBook. Listed below are the requirements every student must include in their eBook. Review the instructors eBook for an example of all the requirements listed below.
6. Once finished, students will publish their eBooks (review resources for instructions if needed).
7. Students will post the URL to their eBook on their Twitter account with the hashtag #uxresearch101ebook
8. Students will be required to read, review, and comment directly to the Twitter thread of at least 2 other students eBook .
