Press and Hammer

This is one of the ways we do in the class to teach phonics. My co-teacher will call 3 students in front. Then, she will count 1,2,3, and once she says "Go!", the students must hurriedly press the service bell in front. The first student to press the service bell will get the plastic hammer and hammer the word my co-teacher says. If he/she gets all the words, then he/she can get a point. If not, the opponents will have the chance to steal. Even for our grade 6 students, we also make sure that there are activities where they need to stand, move, and do teamwork.
