IN CLASS EXPECTATIONS:
You are expected to show considerate, attentive and supportive behavior in class at all times to all persons. When other students are performing, they need your support as you will need their support when you are onstage. Do not enter or leave the class or theater during performances. Students with improper audience etiquette will lose points. Racial/sexual slurs are not permitted in this class at any time.
You will have to memorize lines and perform in front of the class.
Material selected for class performance will be suitable for general audiences. Editing language or content of the material is THE STUDENT’S responsibility. If you have questions, ask your instructor
OUTSIDE CLASS EXPECTATIONS:
In order to receive an A in this course, you must attend all Eagle Theatre Productions or the dress rehearsal of the production.
Upper level drama students are expected to participate in Creeps and Shakefest 2026
MAKEUP WORK:
The Student is responsible for all make up work. The instructor will not remind you of it. When deadlines are not met a 0 will be recorded. If you plan to be absent on a performance day, you will need to perform before the absence.
GRADING:
Grades are given in the following areas: performances, audience etiquette, pop quizzes, homework, tests, projects, play attendance and overall attitude in the classroom toward your instructor and fellow classmates.
The Student will not be graded on talent but your individual growth and how well you prepare and apply what you learn.
The majority of your grades will come from performances in front of the class.
VII. CLASSROOM RULES:
NO FOOD OR DRINK OF ANY KIND IN THE BLACKBOX
Absolutely no phone use allowed in class
No earbuds in class
No horseplay in the class or theatre.
Be in your seat and ready to work when the bell rings.
Do not ask to leave class early for personal business.
Be cooperative, supportive and attentive during all student performances.
Only one person may go to the restroom at a time.
Use a hall pass every time you leave the theatre/classroom.

Monologue and Scene book of your own
