Overview

This first strand will introduce girls to the SciGirls CODE program as well as some foundational concepts that will set them up for success in the program. They will dip their toes into the coding world with an Hour of Code activity from code.org, then continue on their coding adventure to create mobile apps for Android using Thunkable. After they learn the basics, the girls will work together to imagine and create an app of their own design during the mobile makeathon.
