TPS September Events

Dear TPS Staff & Families:

We have had a very successful start to the school year, and many events and celebrations are set to take place throughout September.

Our dedicated staff members continue to be highlighted locally and statewide, and we congratulate Ms. Valeria Cortez, a preschool educator at Scott Dual Language, who was named a 2025 NextGen Under 30 honoree. We also congratulate our TCALC Associate Principal, Ms. Laura Nichols, who was selected as one of the 2025 Topeka's Top 20 Under 40 honorees.

This week, we celebrated district achievements and the 2025 Patron Award winner, Advisors Excel, at the TPS Foundation Community Breakfast. Students and staff also observed peaceful remembrance and reflection during the district's recognition of 9/11.

Next week, we look forward to kicking off celebrations of Hispanic Heritage Month, IT Professionals Day, Constitution Day, and Celebrate Freedom Week. Homecoming celebrations are right around the corner, and details are included in the newsletter below.

We can't wait to see all of our families at Family Fitness Fun Night on September 17. Thank you for helping us have such a wonderful start to the school year!
