Issuance of graduate certificates (Commuter courses)

Certificate issuance service at convenience stores 

A service is available to obtain certificates at convenience stores. Two types of certificates that can be issued for graduates are "Certificate of Graduation (Completion)" and "Transcript of Academic Record," which can be obtained at multi-copy machines located at Seven-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson stores nationwide after applying online.

For graduates/graduates before September 2012 (up to March 1970), only application and payment are available, and the payment will be mailed to you.

Issuance of Certificates after Graduation

Please apply for certificates at the counter or by mail. Applications by telephone, fax, or e-mail will not be accepted.

To protect your personal information, you will be required to present identification documents (or enclose a copy if applying by mail) to verify your identity when the certificate is issued.

In addition, when an application is made by a person other than the applicant (hereinafter referred to as "proxy"), a letter of attorney and identification documents of the applicant (a copy is acceptable) and identification documents of the proxy must be presented (enclose a copy in the case of an application by mail).

If any of the above documents are missing or incomplete, a certificate cannot be issued. Please understand this beforehand.


Identification documents (both at the counter and by mail)

Please prepare one of the following identification documents. (If applying by mail, please enclose a copy)

・Driver's license

・Passport

・Health insurance card

・Personal number card

・Basic Resident Registration Card

・Residence card

※ID documents must be presented each time an application is made (a copy must be enclosed if applying by mail).

※If you use your health insurance card as your identification document (both at the counter and by mail), please mask out (1) the symbol, (2) the number, and (3) the insurer number on the insurer card.

※If you are mailing a photocopy of your Personal Number Card as your ID document, please send a photocopy of only the front side of the card, as the back side contains your My Number.

※If you have "changed your family name" since graduation, one of the following is required in addition to the originally required identification  (not required for identification of a proxy). For a certificate of residence and an extract from the family register (transcript), please submit one  issued within the last three months.

However, the certificate will be issued in the name used at the time of graduation (not in the name used at the time of application).

If the applicant has "changed his/her name" since graduation, an "abstract (copy) of family register (original, not a photocopy)" is required in addition to the originally required identification (not required for a proxy's identification). As for the certificate of residence and extract (transcript) of family register, please submit the one issued within the last 3 months. However, certificates will be issued in the name of the applicant at the time of graduation (not in the name of the applicant at the time of application).

Please print out the prescribed application form from the certificate machine on the Akabanedai Campus (INIAD HUB-1), fill in the required information, and submit it together with the following documents to the Akabanedai Administrative Section (in charge of the School of Information Collaboration).

3.Handling chargeFaculty of Information and Cooperation Studies)

※Fees are per certificate and are current as of April 1, 2021. For certificates other than those listed above, please contact the Akabanedai  Administrative Division (in charge of the School of Information Collaboration).

※Certificates of Graduation, Transcripts other than those issued by the University will cost 500 yen.

※Certificate of enrollment for those who have withdrawn from the university (including those who have been expelled from the university) is  "Certificate of the period of enrollment" (500 yen).

4.Number of days to issue

The number of days for certificate issuance is as follows. Please apply well in advance.

Certificate of Graduation (in Japanese)" and "Transcript of Academic Record (in Japanese)": Same day 

"Other certificates": About 1 week

In the case of application by mail, the number of days required for mailing will be added. *Please note that the number of days required for issuance may differ during long vacation periods and university festivals.
