8.2.1. Exercises with objects' plans drawings
Floor plans are generally the most used of the location drawings. They are sectional plans because they show the view obtained by cutting horizontally through a building at some point above the floor level. It is assumed that you move away from the top part of the building and look down at the plan of the remaining bottom part. This plan view will illustrate the arrangement of the rooms and spaces and their shapes but also show the thickness of all the external and internal walls.
For cutting plane exercises, use the garage simulator or the garage viewer.
Please see this exercise content and answer the next exercise question: which one section plane was used for the garage plan drawing?
The exercise is for your knowledge checking, so you must repeat the information a plan draws about. If you need to see the house inside rooms, please open the simulator of the house.
In the next exercise, you need to use furniture images to determine the name of the room
You already know that plans are called sections of the house by horizontal planes.
So in the set of drawings there should be a foundation plan, a plan of the first and other floors if the house is multi-storey, and finally a roof plan.
Do the following exercises to test your knowledge of house plan drawings.
