Many objects consist of a set of simple geometric shapes, such as cubes, cones, spheres, cylinders, prisms, pyramids, etc., and intersecting shapes have a common intersection line, which is necessary to construct orthogonal, axonometric projections of the model and get its surface net.
One of the most commonly used methods for constructing such lines of intersection of shapes is the use of auxiliary cutting planes.
