Congratulations ...

... to everyone on Sports Day. A great day and lucky with the weather!

Outdoor Learning

Students have had hands on experience and learnt about different species and the behaviours they exhibit.

They have also worked hard to make sure the classroom is a lovely place that we all want to look after and learn in.

Year 10 BTEC Animal Care went to Manor Farm and compared this country park to Staunton. They also got to walk back in time and see what farming, school and living was like in the Victorian times.

Year 9 students took part in a Labour Market information and Future Jobs workshop. They gained an understanding of how everyone is different with different skills, personalities and careers needs, an understanding of what information may be important when considering careers and where to find the information and how to have a clearer understanding of LMI and how to use knowledge to explore future career option.

📷 Farewell to our Year 11 👋

Click here for the Year 11 farewell letter.

On Friday 17th May 2024 the Year 9s and 10s attended the South East Hampshire Athletics Competition. All students represented the academy fantastically👍 and we are especially proud that one of our students came 🥇1st in Year 10 boys shot put.

To celebrate Wear it Green Day and the end of Mental Health Awareness Week 2024, all students were invited to take part in a 🎈balloon 🎇burst activity. They wrote their 😟worries and frustrations on a balloon, then as a school, we went out to the field and jumped on the balloons. Letting it all go! 😀

Latest News from our Catering Department!

Year 9 have been practicing their knife skills producing some very professional cuts from fine Julienne (matchsticks) through to large Batons, Brunoise (fine diced) to large diced, then onto some more unusual cuts for their final stage, covering lozenge, oblique and tourne shapes. They did an amazing job!

Meanwhile, the Year 8s have been making 'Healthy Pot Noodles' and they went down a treat! Using their knife skills, they chopped up carrot, spring onion and pepper and added it to some dry noodles, before adding in some boiling stock with garlic, ginger, soy sauce and seasonings. Some even chose to give it a bit of a kick adding in some chilli flakes!
