Welcome from our Headteacher - Mr Noble

Welcome to Havant Academy, part of The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT).  We are a friendly comprehensive school situated in Havant.  We currently have 600 students on roll which means that, as a smaller secondary school, we are able to get to know all the students in our care and their families.  We believe that the relationship between home and school is vital to ensuring our students, your children, are able to be happy and successful in their time with us.

We are fully aware of the care you will take in choosing the next steps for your child’s education.  You, like us, will want to be sure that your child will be happy at school and will go on to achieve their very best.  Within our purposeful learning environment and excellent pastoral and support systems we are confident that our staff will provide your child with the motivation and challenge they need to achieve.

News from Mr Noble

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing to you to share with you the news that I will be leaving Havant Academy at the end of this academic year. This has been a difficult and truly personal decision.

My two years at Havant Academy and 9 years working for The Kemnal Academies Trust have been like no other within my educational career. We have faced many challenges and have come through them all, with energy and renewed focus and determination to provide our students with the education they deserve. However, these challenges pale into the background when thinking about the number of positives that I have seen and the differences that have been made to so many of our young people over these last few years at Havant Academy.

Students, staff, parents and carers at Havant Academy are really very special and it has been a complete privilege to serve you as your Headteacher. I am extremely proud of the improvements we have introduced at Havant Academy. I would like to thank the parents and carers who have supported me during my tenure as Headteacher. I hope they realise how powerful that support can be to enable a school to improve for the local community, truly Achieving More Together. While the difficult decision I have made is for my own personal reasons, the staff, our community and most importantly our students are what makes this school what it is, which is why I know the school will continue to enable its students to lead successful, happy and fulfilling lives.

I would like to put on record my sincere thanks to the entire school community for what we have together achieved at Havant Academy our school ethos of Work Hard, Be Kind, No Excuses could only have come into fruition through our hard-working staff, our talented students, and of course, our supportive parents. Schools can only be successful when everyone is pulling in the same direction.

TKAT have appointed a full time Executive Headteacher who will join the school from September and will also appoint a Head of School to ensure the Academy continues on its journey of improvement.

Yours faithfully,

Mr C Noble

Wellbeing Support at Havant Academy

We want to ensure that students, parents/carers and staff, at all times, feel comfortable to express any issues relating to student mental wellbeing. After talking to students on how to achieve this, we decided to provide a space on our website that allows students and parents/carers to express themselves on a virtual platform without having to go to a member of staff first.

The logo to the left is a button which will take you to the designated wellbeing support area of the website. Alternatively, please click here.
