This week we have had our parent meetings for families with children who have SEND needs. It was lovely to see so many families attending and to hear how their children are making progress towards their personal targets. Thank-you to the Year 2 families who attended out Learn Together event on Wednesday. The children shared learning in maths, English and Knowledge of the World with their adults. It was great to hear how much the children had retained and how excited they were to share their knowledge of Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale. We have finished the week with a World War 2 workshop for Year 6. The main hall has been a hive of activity and learning.
As we move into the last week of the half term, a reminder that as always we expect all of children, staff and families to follow the Tithe Farm Way; Friday 25th October is the last day of this half term and is a mufti day - monies raised will be used to fund additional resources for playtimes; and school closes at 3:30pm on Friday 25th October (with Big Fun Club finishing at 5:30pm).
Thank-you to all the families who contributed to Young Minds through our wear yellow day - we have had a certificate to recognise our donation of £218.64.
To support your children to be successful during the day, it is important that they have nutritious food to eat. In Nursery, Reception and Key Stage 1 the children have fruit provided at break time for their snack. In Key Stage 2, If your child wishes to have a snack, you need to provide this. Please only provide fruit.
Lunchboxes need to contain a balanced diet (no nut products). A healthy diet is not several packets of crisps and a chocolate bar. For healthy lunch box options which are quick and easy to prepare please follow this link: https://www.nhs.uk/healthier-families/recipes/healthier-lunchboxes/

Attendance at school is not just important for your child's learning, but also for their overall wellbeing, wider development and mental health. For children who face complex barriers to attendance, school can offer a range of pastoral support and advice and, if needed, can access support from external services - we are here to help.
It is usually safe for children to attend school with mild illnesses, like minor coughs, runny noses or sore throats. However, children should stay home if they have a high temperature of 38C or above. The NHS has published guidance to help families decide whether their child is well enough to attend school. Advice can also be found on StudyBugs (our absence reporting system).
