This week we have welcomed families into school for parent's evening. It has been lovely to see so many of you coming to find out how your children are getting on with their learning in their new classes. Unfortunately we did have to cancel a number of appointments on Wednesday due to staff illness. I am sorry for any inconvenience this caused. Once the teachers are well, they will be in touch to rearrange the meetings. If you did not make an appointment, our teachers will be calling you over the next couple of weeks so that they can share how your children are settling into their classes and ways you can help them with their learning.
Yesterday was World Mental Health Day. We asked children to wear yellow to school with the aim of brightening up the day. It was lovely to see so much yellow in school - it really did put a smile on everyone's face. Thank-you to those families who made a donation; we raised £220 which will be transferred to the charity Young Minds to support the great work they do with children and young people.
In celebration assembly today we have heard about how amazing the learning has been this week - lots of resilience and striving to be the best we can which is excellent to hear.
To showcase our intelligent talking and end of cycle learning we will be holding our Oracy endpoint events on:

Every moment in school counts. It is essential that children arrive at school on time to ensure that they have academic success and form good habits. When school has concerns about lateness, we will get in touch to discuss if there is any support which we can offer.
To encourage children to be on time, we have raffle ticket days where children gain a raffle ticket if they are in school on time. Raffle tickets are always given on a Monday and Friday but there will also be spot days for raffle tickets - the more often the children are in school, the more raffle tickets they will receive. Raffle tickets are added to our prize draw at the end of wach term.
