This week we have taken part in Science week. Miss Salisbury inbtroduced the week with an assembly on Monday and the children have then taken part in lots of interesting activities during the week.
This week families enjoyed a wonderful assembly performed by Topaz class. We love how well the children are developing their oracy skills and speaking clearly and confidently in front of audiences.
It was lovely to see so many families at our SEND parents evening on Tuesday. The slightly longer appointments allow for a fuller discussion about progress towards targets and how provision is working for the children. If you were asked to attend SEND parents evening but you didn't, please call the office to arrange an appointment.
Recently we have had an increase in children swearing and using disrespectful language and hand gestures within school (both on the playground and at adults). This will not be tolerated at Tithe Farm.
Should we hear your child swearing or using disrespectful language in school we will call families and ask the child to tell you what they have said or done.
Should a child use disrespectful language or hand gestures in a before and after school club, they will not be welcome at these clubs and families will be asked to make alternative provision for wrap around school care.
We would ask that you support us with this matter to ensure that all children are safe and do not hear disrespectful language in school.
If you need new school uniform we have just had a new 10% discount code sent to us from My Clothing: MyClothing.
Code = UNIFORM10%
Expires = 31/03/2025
It was lovely to raise awareness of what it means to be a Young Carer on Wednesday. Our Young Carers lead an assembly for all children and then enjoyed an after school club with Mrs Molloy.
If you feel your child may be a Young Carer, please make contact with Mrs Molloy who will be able to signpost you to support and invite your child (Key Stage 2 only) to an afterschool club which takes place once a month.
Over the last 2 weeks we have held the Public Speaking heats. Early Years and Key Stage 1 have enjoyed listening to the rhymes and songs the children have learnt and in Key Stage 2 there has been fantastic range of thought provoking speeches - choosing the finalists has been very difficult!
Next week, families of the finalists will receive an email inviting you to watch your child perform in the final on 2nd April.
