Tithe Farm Primary School
Cycle 3: The World has Changed
25/4/25
25/4/25
Welcome back to the summer term! The children have arrived back in school ready for learning. Year 5 and Year 2 have both had history workshops this week where they have learnt lots about their topics. All of our visitors this week have commented on what excellent learning behaviours the children have and how polite they are.
As the weather begins to improve we will be making use of the school grounds more, please make sure your children have a fresh drink of water each day (no squash or flavoured water please) and that they have hat. If sun cream is required, it should be applied before coming to school.
We are very pleased to announce that we have recruited 2 Assistant Headteachers. Our new Assistant Headteachers (Miss Campbell and Mr Holloway) will support Mrs Ryan and I to ensure that your children have the best possible learning experiences at Tithe Farm. Mr Hill will now be the Key Stage 2 Phase Leader, if your child is in Key Stage 2, Mr Hill is your point of contact after the class teacher.
My name is Miss Campbell and I am really excited to be joining Tithe Farm Primary School as Assistant Head Teacher. In my role, I will be leading on assessment across the school, supporting our Pupil Premium children, and working closely with early career teachers. I am passionate about making sure every child has the chance to succeed and feel supported in their learning. I’m really looking forward to getting to know all the families and becoming part of this wonderful school community. Make sure you say hello to me if you see me around the school or on the playground!
My name is Mr Holloway and I am really pleased to be stepping into the role of Assistant Head Teacher here at Tithe Farm Primary School. Having previously been the Key Stage 2 Lead, I am excited to take this next step. In this new role, I will be focusing on developing our fantastic whole school curriculum, supporting children with their personal development, and helping teachers to refine and enhance their teaching and learning strategies while continuing to lead on English across the school. I am looking forward to building on the great work already happening in our school and working together to make it an even better place for our children to learn and grow.
Oracy endpoints will be taking place on the following days at 2:45pm. Please make your way to the main reception where you will be shown to the classroom to find out about what your children have been learning about.

Cycle 4: Creating a Better World, will begin on 12th May.
Keep an eye on the calendar as important dates will be added to this over the next couple of weeks. Please be aware that there will be events taking place right up until the last day of term (including Year 6 leavers events and the attendance raffle prize draw).
The week beginning 12th May is Year 6 SATs week. During this week, your children will be sitting a number of tests. The children have worked incredibly hard this year and these tests are a way for them to showcase how amazing they are. Please ensure that your children are in school everyday this week.
To support the children to be ready, we will be running a SATs breakfast, this is for all children in Year 6 and is an excellent way for the children to feel relaxed and ready for the tests which are taking place that day.
Thank-you to Tesco who donated a huge number of potatoes and carrots for the school community. I know that they were gratefully received by many of our families and within the local community.
As you all know our adults work tirelessly to support our children. Our Head Boy and Girl have decided that as part of our celebration assembly they would like to have an adult of the month award. This awards will work through nominations from children and families. Head Girl and Boy will then read the nominations and make have the final decision about who recieves the award at the end of the month.
If you wish to nominate a particular adult, please complete the google form: https://forms.gle/6DgU5dbxJPmfWQ2J9
Please remember to park considerately in the local area. We have already had a number of complaints about families parking across driveways. This means that residents can not get to where they need to at the time they need to.
We have informed the council and asked for additional traffic wardens to patrol the area.
