School has been incredibly busy this week! It has been fabulous to see so many families attend our What a Wonderful World endpoints. When visiting the classrooms, we have been pleased to see how confident our children are becoming when they speak in front of an audience. Thank-you to Garnet class who also shared their learning with families in their assembly. Next week sees the start of Cycle 3: How the World has Changed. This is a history based topic where the children will learn about changes in the world and how these impact the way we live today.
On Wednesday, Key Stage 2 took part in an assembly and some workshops run by the Dunstable Sea Cadets. In these sessions, they introduced who they were and what they do when they meet. Junior Sea Cadets meet on Fridays 7:15 - 9:30pm (10 -12 year olds). If you are interested in finding out more please email: admin@dunstableseacadets.org.uk
Next week we will be carrying out learning around Children's Mental Health Week and also Safer Internet Day.
We will be holding parents evening on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th February. Bookings are now live on Arbor.
In order to book you will need an account on the Arbor parent portal. Please ensure you have signed up by then so you can book to see you child's class teacher. You can access you parent portal either through the website or by downloading the app. Information can be found on our website about how to activate your account: https://www.tithefarmprimary.co.uk/page/?title=Arbor&pid=195
If you have any problems creating an account please speak to a member of the office team and they will be able to help you.
Please note Opal parents evening has been postponed due to Miss Ward's absence. It will be rearranged once she is better and back in school. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused families. Should you have anthing you would like to discuss with a member of staff, please contact Miss Thompson (Key Stage 1 Phase Leader) in the first instance.
We are aware that year groups and classes have their own parental Whatsapp groups. Whilst these are a useful forum for reminders and support, sometimes they can become a place where small issues can escalate through misinformation and assumptions.
Please remember that if you have a concern regarding your child, the best place to seek advice and reassurance is by speaking to your child's class teacher and/or the appropriate phase leader by emailing or phoning the school office to make an appointment.
Phase Leaders
Early Years Phase Leader: Miss Brassinne
Key Stage 1 Phase Leader: Miss Thompson
Key Stage 2 Phase Leader: Mr Hill
This week Attendance Ted is visiting Amethyst class who have had the highest attendance this week (97.92%).
Whole school attendance this year is currently: 94% 🎉
Whole school attendance target set by the DfE: at least 94%
Please remember to park legally and consideratly when dropping off and picking up your children from school. We have had a number of instances reported to us recently where cars have been parked in the pavement itself. This is incredibly dangerous as it means that children and families can not safely walk to school.
The 100th World Thinking Day (held by the Girlguiding association) takes place on Sunday 22nd February 2026. The theme of the day this year is 'Our Friendship.'
In recognition of this we would like to invite any members of Tithe Farm who attend Girl guides and Girl Scouts to wear their uniforms Brownies/Rainbows unniform to school on Monday 23rd Febraury.
