This week...

This week, the children in Key Stage 2 have taken part in road safety workshops. These have taught the children skills to ensure that they are aware of their surroundings and how to be safe when crossing roads in the community. Year 4 & 5 also enjoyed a morning using virtual reality headsets, this enhanced their "What a Wonderful World" learning.

The House Captains lead their house assemblies this week. During the assemblies, the children thought about the things which they are grateful for. The wrote these things on leaves which have created beautiful gratitude trees.

We are looking forward to welcoming families into school next week for our Oracy Endpoints -please see below for the dates and times of particular year groups.

Parents Evening

We will be holding parents evening on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th February. Bookings are now live on Arbor.

In order to book you will need an account on the Arbor parent portal. Please ensure you have signed up by then so you can book to see you child's class teacher. If you have any problems creating an account please speak to a member of the office team and they will be able to help you.

Please note Opal parents evening has been postponed due to Miss Ward's absence. It will be rearranged once she is better and back in school. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused families.

Attendance

This week Attendance Ted is visiting Onyx class who have had the highest attendance this week (96.3%).

Whole school attendance this year is currently: 93.9%
Whole school attendance target set by the DfE: at least 94%

Oracy Endpoints

We are coming to the end of Cycle 2 which means the children are almost ready to share their learning with you.

Oracy Endpoints will be on the folllowing dates:

Reception - Wednesday 4th February

Year 1 - Friday 6th February

Year 2 - Thursday 5th February

Year 3 - Friday 6th February

Year 4 - Friday 6th February

Year 5 - Wednesday 4th February

Year 6 - Monday 2nd February

The events will begin at 2:45pm; please come to the main office where you will be shown to the appropriate class.
