On Wednesday we held the first Learn Together event of 2026. Thank-you to all of the families who attended; 28 children had a family member (or 2) joining them. The children in Year 3 really enjoyed sharing their learning with their families. On Thursday Jade class also performed a fantastic class assembly for their families. Well done Year 3, you have had an excellent week! Our next Learn Together event is for Year 4 and will be held on 4th February at 2:45pm.
We have had a number of incidents this week which have involved the use of mobile phones and social media group chats. Social media platforms are not designed for children who are of a primary school age with Snapchat, Whatsapp and Instagram having minimum ages of 13. As a parent, if you are allowing your children to use these platforms, it is important that you monitor the content and messages which your child is accessing. If you have concerns about what you see it is important to speak to your child. Checking mobile devices and messages is not an invasion of privacy, it is an important step in keeping your child safe. In school we have regular lessons and assemblies about how to stay safe online and what to do if something worries or upset them.
We will be holding parents evening on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th February. Bookings will go live via Arbor on Monday 26th January.
In order to book you will need an account on the Arbor parent portal. Please ensure you have signed up by then so you can book to see you child's class teacher. You can access you parent portal either through the website or by downloading the app. Information can be found on our website about how to activate your account: https://www.tithefarmprimary.co.uk/page/?title=Arbor&pid=195
If you have any problems creating an account please speak to a member of the office team and they will be able to help you.

We are aware that there are lots of bugs going around at moment. Please follow the NHS link below which will help families to understand if they should send their child to school or not:
https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/is-my-child-too-ill-for-school/
As you may be aware, if children have regular absence or we have not heard from you regarding why they are not in school, we will phone home to check in with you and see if there is anything which we can do to help. If we haven't seen your child for a number of days we may call at the house to do a welfare check and see whether we can help with anything.
