Have you ever wondered what makes some holiday resorts seem better than others, how air travel can be sustainable or what one in ten people do for a day job? The Travel and Tourism BTEC Tech Award is a new course that will answer these questions and many more and could open up opportunities to work in this exciting sector.

The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of travel and tourism operators, the appeal of different types of tourist destination, the features of different tourist destinations, the factors influencing global travel and tourism and how organisations target their adverts at specific people groups. This course compliments other courses such as GCSE Geography and Business.
