Health and Social care play a key role in UK society and the demand for people to carry out these vital roles will increase. This course will give you the opportunity to develop and explore the skills required to work within this field.

During this course, you will study human growth, development and well-being as well as health and social services and values. The focus will be on the development of the individual and how different circumstances affect them throughout their lives, allowing you to design and assess activities aimed at helping them to adapt to these changes. It will also cover care values and how to apply them to different areas of health services.

The course is split into three units, the third one is externally assessed and comes in the format of a written exam paper.  The first two units are assignment based and are marked internally by the classroom teacher. Both units have one assignment each. The Award is graded from Pass - Distinction*.
