Drawing and sketching are key skills in designing products to help communicate ideas.
"Product Sketching" is a type of quick, rough drawing used to show a basic shape, size, and maybe colors of a product. A skill needed for initial ideating of products.
"Technical Drawings" are neat, scaled, orthographic views of a product that are detailed enough for someone to manufacture the product. They could also be called "schematics", or "blueprints". The process of drawing technical drawings may also be called "drafting". They may use hatching and certain types of lines to communicate how something is built, materials, etc. Annotations of key parts of manufacture may be included.
